Wedding reportage. A small story in black and white, awarded by the international association This Is Reportage.
In 2019, together with my great friend and colleague Francesco Gravina, we photographed the wedding of these two incredible guys, Karen and Alessandro (full story: https://www.matteolomonte.it/masseria-vecchia-mastro-marco-wedding- 2 /), and a few weeks ago I participated with a selection of 18 black and white photographs, in a photo competition of the international association ThisIsReportage, an association that deals exclusively with reportage photographs. A few days ago I received the fantastic news that this story has been rewarded!
I am happy because I love these guys and I felt totally comfortable talking about their most important day. The wedding took place in Puglia, the ceremony in Gioia del Colle (my beloved country!) And the reception in a beautiful Apulian-style Masseria, between traditions, good food and good music, Masseria Vecchia Mastro Marco. The day initially did not bode well, with large clouds of rain. But then they made room for the sun and made a splendid day for the celebrations in the Masseria.
